Alexander and House Selected for Columbus Business First 2024 40 Under 40 Class

Vorys is proud to announce that Liz Alexander, a partner in the litigation group, and Jen House, the firm’s director of marketing and communications, have been selected as members of the Columbus Business First 2024 40 under 40 class.  The 2024 class is the newspaper’s 31st class of “the region’s best and brightest young leaders.”

Alexander’s practice focuses on complex business, commercial, and contract litigation.  In addition, she has substantial experience representing real estate developers, individuals, and businesses in land use and zoning disputes before local administrative and legislative bodies as well as state and federal courts.  Alexander also has experience representing businesses and financial institutions defending against claims related to cyber security incidents, including in putative class actions.

Outside of her legal practice, Alexander serves on the board of The Ohio State University’s Varsity O Alumni Society.  It is an alumni organization consisting of all former varsity athletes that presents the Ohio State Hall of Fame Awards and scholarships to current Ohio State Athletes.  Alexander also spent several years as a lead volunteer for Kitchen Kapers, an organization that raises money to support cancer patients at Columbus’ Riverside Hospital.

House has more than 15 years of experience in the communications field and manages the firm’s public relations and communications efforts.  She also assists Vorys clients with strategic communications, crisis communications and public relations matters.

In the local community, House serves as the president of Great Minds. Great Minds is a non-profit that raises money specifically for brain cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.  She is also a long-time board member and current secretary of the Legacy Fund of the Columbus Foundation, a permanent fund that specifically addresses the needs of the Central Ohio LGBTQIA Community.
