Cleveland State University College of Law Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Conference
Marcel Duhamel, a partner in the firm's Cleveland office and a member of the firm's data strategy, privacy and security practice, participated in a panel at the Cleveland State University College of Law's Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Conference. The title of the panel was "Patchwork in Progress: State Privacy and Cybersecurity Law Developments."
Panelists explored how organizations face an increasingly fragmented compliance environment as state legislatures continue to fill the federal vacuum on data privacy and cybersecurity, including in the areas of consumer rights, workplace surveillance, breach reporting, AI and more. They highlighted significant state law developments in the past year and emerging obligations attendees should expect in the near future.
