Overview

Perry is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation practice group.  He represents plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal proceedings across a number of different disciplines.  Perry has extensive experience in personal injury, premises liability and product liability litigation, including mass tort defense work, as well as commercial, construction and insurance related litigation.  Perry is also a member of Vorys’ Drone and Autonomous Vehicle Working Group, where he focuses on litigation.

Career highlights include:

  • Representing individuals and estates in wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury cases throughout Ohio and Florida, where he has recovered in excess of $11.5 million on behalf of his clients

  • Successfully representing and defending the manufacturers and suppliers of various products, including household and industrial use products, in wrongful death and personal injury cases throughout Ohio and Florida

  • Representing and defending manufacturers and suppliers in toxic tort, chemical exposure and asbestos related litigation throughout Ohio, where he has successfully resolved tens of thousands of cases through trial, dispositive motion practice and/or settlement

  • Successfully representing and defending modular home manufacturers, nationwide home builders, and oil and gas well operators in fire, property damage, construction and premises liability cases

Perry is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida and Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Perry has spoken at the OSBA's HB 292 Asbestos and Silica Legislation Seminar and the OSBA's New Attorney Trial Advocacy Seminar.  He has also spoken at the OSBA's Insurance Law Seminar, where he discussed the topic of uninsured and underinsured motorist insurance.

Perry received his J.D. from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law and his B.S. with honors from the University of Florida.
