Overview

Matt is a partner in the Vorys Washington D.C. office and a member of the finance, energy and real estate group.  His practice is focused on commercial real estate and related business matters, including healthcare and multi-family housing finance.

Matt represents lenders and borrowers on construction loans, refinancings, asset transfers and acquisitions, and loan modifications and has served as lead lender's counsel on transactions in over 35 states.

Prior to joining Vorys, Matt worked as an analyst at a national CMBS special services, where he coordinated and oversaw internal staff and outside counsel through the disposition of serviced assets, including the foreclosure, restructuring and sale of distressed loans secured by hotels, office buildings, multifamily housing, retail centers and other commercial use properties. 

Matt received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and received his B.A. from Colgate University.
