Vorys Assists in the Formation of Ohio’s Only Minority Depository Institution

Vorys is proud to have advised in the formation and licensing of Ohio’s newest bank, Adelphi Bank.

Adelphi Bank is the only qualified minority depository institution headquartered in the State of Ohio and, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, one of less than 150 qualified minority depository institutions in the country.  The bank, which is also one of only 51 of minority depository institutions to open in the country in the past 20 years, is headquartered in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio.

For more than a decade, Vorys has been the only Ohio-based law firm involved in forming and licensing de novo banks in the state.
