Gruzs Appears in Spectrum News Coverage of Ohio Department of Medicaid Fraud Initiatives
Liam Gruzs, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the health care group, was featured on Spectrum News’ local coverage of recent initiatives announced by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, which intend to crack down on Medicaid fraud. Gruzs has authored several pieces of content on national and state-level announcements related to fraud prevention in the health care industry.
Gruzs warned that the heavy-handed initiative will make business difficult, even for providers operating in good faith.
“Taking such a draconian approach as this — again, sledgehammer, not a scalpel — is going to make it very, very challenging for those good providers to continue,” he said during the segment. “We find these initiatives especially perplexing when there is significant, legitimate fraud out there that’s not being addressed.”
