Anderson Certified by Ohio State Bar as Specialist in Appellate Law

Vorys is pleased to announce that Garrett Anderson, an associate in the firm’s Columbus office and member of the litigation group, has been certified as a Specialist in Appellate Law by the Ohio State Bar Association.

The Ohio State Bar Association certifies specialists in 11 areas of law.  As of 2026, Garrett is one of only 26 attorneys in the State of Ohio who is certified as a Specialist in Appellate Law.

According to the Ohio State Bar Association, attorneys seeking specialist certification must devote at least 25% of their practice to that area of law, earn at least 36 CLE intermediate or advanced credit hours in the specialty area of their certification over the previous three years, pass a written examination and fulfill additional requirements.

Garrett’s practice centers on complex appellate litigation in Ohio and federal courts.  He regularly represents clients in high-stakes appeals involving statutory interpretation, constitutional questions, administrative law and jurisdictional disputes.  His experience includes litigating matters before the Supreme Court of Ohio and navigating the Court’s discretionary jurisdiction — both in securing review of consequential legal issues and in successfully opposing further appellate review.
