Vorys Welcomes 2014 Summer Associates

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease is pleased to welcome nine summer associates to four of its offices. Christopher LaRocco, William Leister, Christina Otero and Melanie Lennon joined the Columbus Office; Lauren Brown, Timothy Dougherty and Daniel Jacobs joined the Cincinnati office; Natalia Cabrera joined the Cleveland Office; and Brian Simmons joined the Akron office.

Christopher LaRocco

Christopher A. LaRocco recently completed his second year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where is a member of the Ohio State Law Journal. He received his B.A. from Gonzaga University. LaRocco spent last summer working as a summer associate at a law firm.

William Leister

William E. Lester recently completed his second year at Duke University School of Law, where he is the staff editor for the Alaska Law Review. He received his B.A. from Duke University, where he was a member of the track and cross country teams. Last summer, Lester worked as an intern for the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office, Revenue Section.

Christina Otero

Christina M. Otero recently completed her second year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She received her B.A. cum laude from The Ohio State University. During her second year of law school, Otero was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge R. Guy Cole in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.


Melanie Lennon

Melanie M. Lennon recently completed her first year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She received her B.A. from Boston College. Lennon worked as a research assistant during law school researching federal sentencing.

 

Lauren Brown Lauren A. Brown recently completed her second year at Washington and Lee University Law School, where she is a member of the Washington and Lee Law Review. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Denison University. Prior to law school, Brown worked as a marketing and office coordinator for Grasshopper Investments. This past summer, she worked as a legal intern for Cincinnati Public Schools Legal Department.

Timothy Dougherty

Timothy C. Dougherty recently completed his second year at Vanderbilt University Law School, where he is a member of the Vanderbilt Law Review. He received his B.A. cum laude from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to law school, he was the managing editor of member publications for the American Academy of Actuaries. This past fall, Dougherty was a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’ s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Daniel Jacobs

Daniel S. Jacobs recently completed his second year at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he is a staff writer for The Law News. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati. Last Summer, Jacobs worked as a legal intern for the Cincinnati Public Schools General Counsel.


Natalia Cabrera

Natalia M. Cabrera recently completed her second year at Boston College of Law, where she is a member of the Environmental Affairs Law Review. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University. This past summer, Cabrera worked as a law clerk for the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.


Brian Simmons

Brian R.E. Simmons recently completed his second year at The University of Akron School of Law. He received his Masters in Business Administration from Roosevelt University and his B.A. from The Ohio State University. Prior to law school, Simmons worked as a commercial real estate broker for First Western Properties.
