Federal Agency to Assess Columbia Gas’ Leach Xpress Project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is proceeding with its environmental impact assessment of Columbia Gas’ proposed Leach Xpress Project in Ohio and West Virginia.  This assessment is part of FERC’s determination of whether the project is in the public convenience and necessity.  If FERC ultimately decides the project is for public convenience and necessity, landowners in the proposed path should be prepared to address the scope of any pipeline easement; the timing and scheduling of construction and other work activity on their property; and how to maximize their right to fair and just compensation for the pipeline easement.

If you have questions regarding the project or your rights, please contact Bruce Ingram (614.464.6480 or blingram@vorys.com) or Tom Fusonie (614.464.8261 or thfusonie@vorys.com).
