Technology-Led Economic Development
Justin Heather, of counsel in the Vorys Houston office and a member of the firm’s economic development incentives practice, participated in a course hosted by the International Economic Development Council.
The course, “Technology-Led Economic Development,” explored creating thriving innovation ecosystems that drive tech-driven growth, helping attendees uncover strategies that position their communities as hubs for innovation and entrepreneurial success. Justin gave three presentations across the two-day event, on topics including “Technology Transfer and Commercialization,” “Governmental Technology Transfer Programs” and “Technology Deployment & Tech Hubs.”
Fellow presenters included Troy McCue, executive director of the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation; and Jennifer Wakeman, executive director of Driving Real Innovation for a Vibrant Economy (DRIVE).
