NAIOP I.CON Data Centers 2026

Scott Ziance, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a leader of the firm’s data center industry practice, will moderate a panel at NAIOP’s I.CON Data Centers 2026 event on May 19 in Jersey City, NJ.  The title of the panel is “Local Dynamics Determine Outcomes.”

The panel will focus on how, as data center projects expand into new markets, they are drawing increased scrutiny from local governments and communities.  Power consumption, land use and incentives are central to the approval process.  Attendees will learn how developers are navigating entitlements, engaging stakeholders and managing regulatory complexity to keep projects moving forward.

Panelists will include Daniel English, managing partner at Legacy Investments; Hank Evans, economic development and community engagement at OpenAI; and Martin Romo, vice president of external affairs at Rowan Digital Infrastructure.
