ERISA Fiduciary Governance Regulations in Flux – Adapting to a Shifting Regulatory Landscape

Jen Dunsizer, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the labor and employment group, participated in a webinar hosted by the Joint Committee on Employee Benefits on July 29 at 1:00 p.m. EST.  The title of the webinar was “ERISA Fiduciary Governance Regulations in Flux – Adapting to a Shifting Regulatory Landscape.”

The presentation focused on how the standards governing the prudent selection and monitoring of retirement plan investments are in a state of uncertainty as litigation intensifies and proposed regulatory changes continue to evolve.  Viewers learned about the latest proposed regulations, evolving standards for prudent investment selection and monitoring, the distinction between the proposed prudence rule and a potential loyalty rule, as well as practical, actionable steps fiduciaries can take to strengthen their processes.

Jen was joined by Lisa Gomez, former head of the Employee Benefits Security Administration, as well as attorney Erin Cho.
