The U.S. Supreme Court Decides on the Affordable Care Act, What Happens Now?

Vorys hosted a teleseminar addressing a number of critical questions surrounding the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on the Affordable Care Act.

Employers, health care providers and other webinar participants learned more about what the Supreme Court’s decision means and what will happen next with major provisions of the law.

The panel was moderated by Ross Bridgman, chair of the health care group and a partner in the Vorys Columbus office. Panelists included:

Matt Albers: Matt is of counsel in the Vorys Cleveland office and focuses his practice on all aspects of health care law. Matt, a former associate general counsel for University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, has spoken widely regarding the Affordable Care Act and its possible outcomes.

Maureen Corcoran: Maureen is president of Vorys Health Care Advisors, which advises health care providers, business decision makers, professional associations and other stakeholders on the changing health care environment. Prior to joining VHCA, Maureen was deputy director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, where she directed all policy and program initiatives for the state of Ohio's Medicaid program.

Jolie Havens: Jolie is a partner in the firm's Columbus office and has counseled adult and children's hospitals, physicians, pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers, home health agencies, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic centers and faculty practice plans. 

Daphne Saneholtz: Daphne is a senior advisor with Vorys Health Care Advisors. Prior to joining VHCA, Daphne held various roles at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services within the Office of Ohio Health Plans and the Office of Legislation.
