DOL Joint Employer Rule

Alex Ehler and Nikki Mayo, attorneys in the Vorys Columbus office, lead a presentation on the Department of Labor Joint Employer Rule before the Columbus Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Committee. The presentation discussed the Department of Labor’s July 2021 rescission of an earlier rule, “Joint Employer Status under the Fair Labor Standards Act,” that took effect in March 2020. Additionally, they discussed how this rescission affects minimum wage and overtime protections under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
