Civic Discourse Through Education

Carl Smallwood, a partner in the firm’s Columbus office, participated in a panel discussion about the need for Ohio schools to be more engaged with civics and democracy. A part of the discussion focused on the need to start teaching children about the three branches of government as early as kindergarten. The panel, sponsored by the Moyer Legacy Fund, followed remarks by Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
