2026 OBL/NCBA Annual Convention

Kim Schaefer and Matt Walker, attorneys in the Vorys corporate and business organizations group, will speak at the Ohio Bankers League / North Carolina Bankers Association Annual Convention on June 29 in Sea Island, GA.  The name of their presentation is "Corporate Governance Best Practices and Current Trends in Regulatory Compliance." 

The presentation will explore real-life scenarios where financial institutions faced significant challenges, highlighting the importance of strong corporate governance.  These stories will emphasize the critical roles and responsibilities of bank boards and senior management, along with regulatory expectations.  It will also provide an overview of recent developments in bank regulation, focusing on evolving compliance expectations, risk controls and regulatory trends.  Attendees will gain practical insights to enhance governance and compliance frameworks.
