2023 ABA May Tax Meeting: Mental Health Parity

Jacquie Abbott, of counsel in the Vorys Houston office, joined a panel at the 2023 ABA May Tax Meeting on Mental Health Parity.  They discussed Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) and explored the DOL’s self-compliance tool.  Additionally, challenges plan sponsors and administrators may be facing in gathering and interpreting non-quantitative treatment limitation analysis data with an eye to offer some practical guidance on drafting or reviewing comparative analyses as well as providing some overall compliance strategies.
