Overview

Tom is an associate in the Vorys Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s nationally recognized Vorys eControl practice and intellectual property group.  His practice focuses on brand protection, product diversion and enforcement of intellectual property rights for clients.

Tom has experience counseling clients on trademark and copyright licensing, drafting consent and coexistence agreements, trademark prosecution and enforcement strategies, and with auditing trademark portfolios to develop national and international filing strategies.  He also has intellectual property litigation experience, including false advertising claims, particularly before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and experience advocating for clients in domain name dispute resolution proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Tom also has experience helping clients register their trademarks with the United States Customs and Border Protection.

Tom received his J.D. from Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University where he was the vice justice of the Moot Court Board and member of The Civil Rights Law Journal.  He received his B.A. magna cum laude in political science from St. Bonaventure University where he was a member and captain of the Division I Swim Team.
