Overview

Alex is an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the litigation group.  He has experience defending companies and individuals in personal injury, construction, product liability, medical malpractice, shareholder disputes and breach of contract cases.  He has experience in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions and case resolution.  He has served as first chair in multiple arbitrations, including witness presentation and opening/closing arguments, to successful verdicts of no liability.  He has also served as first chair in mediations of construction and premises liability disputes.  Alex also has experience in helping insurance providers determine coverage obligations, including filing declaratory judgment actions

During law school, Alex  worked as an extern in the Public Defender’s office at St. Joseph County Courthouse, which involved advising clients on various criminal charges and negotiating plea deals with State prosecutors.  He also interned with the Honorable Michael R. Barrett in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Alex received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.  He also attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate degree, receiving a B.A. in history.
