Overview
Taline is an associate in the Vorys Orange County office and a member of the labor and employment group.
She represents employers in labor and employment matters in both state and federal courts, with a focus on wage and hour class and collective actions. Her experience includes assisting in the defense of claims involving meal and rest period compliance and other alleged violations of California wage and hour laws. She also represents employers in single-plaintiff matters involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation, as well as in administrative agency proceedings and hearings. Taline has successfully opposed petition for coordination in numerous wage and hour class actions.
Taline advises clients on employment compliance and day-to-day workplace issues, including compensation practices, pay transparency requirements, employee discipline and workplace policies. She also conducts internal workplace investigations.
Prior to joining Vorys, Taline served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Scott Clarkson of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. She also served as a judicial intern with the Orange County Superior Court.
Taline received her J.D., cum laude, from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Chapman Law Review, vice president of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Team, and was awarded the Distinguished Graduate Award. She was also selected as her class representative for the Chapman Law Alumni Association. Taline received her B.A. in applied psychology and economics from Boston College, where she earned Dean’s Honors.
Taline is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Armenian.
