The Role of the Judiciary in Protecting the Rule of Law

Michael Donnelly, of counsel to the Vorys Cleveland office and former justice of The Supreme Court of Ohio, participated in a conversation on "The Role of the Judiciary in Protecting the Rule of Law" on April 14 at the City Club of Cleveland. 

The conversation revolved around our constitutional republic's dependency on an independent and trustworthy judiciary to maintain an effective balance of power with the executive and legislative branches of government.  Michael was joined by retired Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor, with whom he has collaborated in a bipartisan effort to speak up for the judicial system and the fundamental importance of the rule of law that underpins it.
