Vorys partners Mark Norman and Scott Ziance spoke at the Ohio Brownfield Conference on May 23.
Mr. Ziance presented, Securing Up-Front Funds for Brownfields Projects, and provided attendees with an understanding of:
- How tax increment financing can be used to finance brownfields projects – with the issuance of bonds
- How tax increment financing can be used to finance these projects – without the issuance of bonds
- Other potential sources of funds, such as joint economic development districts, joint economic development zones and state loans, how they can be used in connection with tax increment financing, and the situations in which they can be useful
