Douglass is of counsel in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the finance, energy and real estate group. He has experience in real estate finance, representing investment banks, commercial banks, funds and borrowers in a variety of securitized and portfolio loan transactions. He has extensive experience with senior and mezzanine debt financing transactions as well as in syndication, sale and workout of commercial mortgage loans.
Douglass has experience in commercial finance, representing institutional lenders and corporate borrowers in a wide array of secured and unsecured commercial lending transactions, including agent and lender representation in connection with a myriad of syndicated financings, acquisition financings and asset-based loans to middle market and investment grade companies. Douglass also has extensive experience representing corporate clients in connection with such financings.
Additionally, he has experience in real estate and commercial loan enforcement, representing senior lenders and mezzanine lenders in connection with non-judicial enforcement actions, including non-judicial real property foreclosures, UCC Article 9 hard asset foreclosures, mezzanine equity foreclosures and voluntary equity assignments in connection with the mezz lender’s takeover of the underlying real property.
Douglass received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was a member of Order of the Coif, the Kansas Law Review and Moot Court Council. He received his B.S.B.A. summa cum laude from Union University.
