Our firm represents a wide range of telecommunications service providers in regulatory, legislative, corporate, and general litigation matters. Our attorneys also have considerable experience in negotiating contracts for entities which are acquiring telecommunications services and in providing counsel on communications technology issues.
Our telecommunications clients include broadcasters, cable operators, local and long distance carriers, Internet service providers, trade associations, and other entities that offer a variety of regulated and unregulated telecommunications services. We counsel our clients on all aspects of federal regulatory requirements and compliance issues, including issues posed by the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Our attorneys assist clients with spectrum auctions, franchise issuance and renewal, station applications and upgrades, tower siting, colocation and interconnection agreements, license applications and renewals, and policy and rulemaking matters, as well as political broadcasting, children’s television, and other programming requirements.
We offer clients extensive experience in representing local and long distance telecommunications carriers in matters before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, including arbitration proceedings, associated cost proceedings, compliance cases brought under the Telecommunications Act of 1996, mergers and acquisitions, and certification. Our representation of clients on these matters has included appeals to federal district court and to the Ohio Supreme Court.
Our attorneys are familiar with the terms and conditions offered by the major telecommunications service providers and regularly assist large corporate clients in negotiating enterprise-wide voice and data service contracts that encompass both wireless and wireline services.
