Vorys has been recognized as one of the top gay-friendly workplaces in the U.S. for the 14th year in a row in the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI). For the fifth year in a row, the firm received a perfect score of 100 in the CEI, which is regarded as nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. Vorys was also named a 2022 “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

A Colorado federal court issued a first-of-its-kind partial summary judgment against an unauthorized gray market seller after Vorys attorneys argued the case on behalf of Otter Products, LLC and TreeFrog Developments, Inc. (collectively “Otter”).

Vorys announced today that the firm has earned the Mansfield Rule 4.0 Certification. To become “Mansfield Certified,” participating firms are asked to affirmatively consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers - including women, lawyers of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities - when making decisions on leadership and governance positions (including firm management roles and certain committee roles), formal pitch opportunities, senior associate and lateral partner openings, and equity partnership promotions.

As brand manufacturers develop their digital sales, the first “State of Brand Manufacturers” study released today by Vorys eControl and Forrester found that online marketplaces have become a significant part of those digital strategies. Among 140 brand manufacturer decision makers surveyed, an average of 27% of their sales are now digital, including online marketplaces, direct to consumer, and wholesale dot-com.
