On June 21, 2022 the U.S. Supreme Court released its decision in Marietta Memorial Hospital Employee Health Benefit Plan v. DaVita Inc. siding with petitioners Marietta Memorial Hospital, its employee group health plan and health plan third-party administrator, for which Vorys argued the case.

Vorys announced today that the firm has earned the Mansfield Rule 4.0 Certification. To become “Mansfield Certified,” participating firms are asked to affirmatively consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers - including women, lawyers of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities - when making decisions on leadership and governance positions (including firm management roles and certain committee roles), formal pitch opportunities, senior associate and lateral partner openings, and equity partnership promotions.

As brand manufacturers develop their digital sales, the first “State of Brand Manufacturers” study released today by Vorys eControl and Forrester found that online marketplaces have become a significant part of those digital strategies. Among 140 brand manufacturer decision makers surveyed, an average of 27% of their sales are now digital, including online marketplaces, direct to consumer, and wholesale dot-com.
