Zack Space, a principal with Vorys Advisors, was quoted in a Herald-Star story titled “Franciscan Announces Development Plans.” The story was about a development plan announced by the officials of Franciscan University of Steubenville. According to the story, the plans for the commercial development on the Green Strip on University Boulevard will include an inn and plans for two restaurants.
The article states:
“Zack Space of Vorys Advisors of Columbus met earlier this month with the City Council Economic Development Committee to brief the members on tentative plans for the site.
‘We think this is a good project for the university and the city.Butthere are problems with the project. There are $2 million in extraordinary costs for this project because the site is a former landfill, it is a hillside, there are high power lines crossing the site and a water line beneath Franklin Avenue that will have to be relocated. So we are working to find ways to lower the extraordinary costs and make the project feasible,’ remarked Space.”
