Vorys Welcomes 2013 Summer Associates

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease is pleased to welcome 11 summer associates to four of its offices.  Justin Farra, Elizabeth Howard, George Stevens and Christina Otero joined the Columbus office; Laura Erdman, Clifford Lauchlan and Emily St. Cyr joined the Cincinnati office; D. Justin Gingerich, Nicholas House, and Shannon Majoras joined the Cleveland office; and Casey Davis joined the Akron office.

Justin FarraJustin P. Farra recently completed his second year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he is a member of the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal.  He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University, where he was an All-American member of the Big Ten Championship swim team.  Farra spent last summer working as a clerk for a law firm in Newark, Ohio.

Elizabeth HowardElizabeth B. Howard recently completed her second year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she is the chief managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal.  She received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to starting law school, Howard worked in sales and implementation for an electronic health record vendor. She spent last summer as working as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Michael H. Watson in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

George StevensGeorge L. Stevens recently completed his second year of law school at Vanderbilt University.  He received his B.A. from Centre College.  Stevens spent last summer working as a summer clerk for a law firm in Birmingham, Alabama. 



Christina OteroChristina M. Otero recently completed her first year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.  She received her B.A., cum laude, from The Ohio State University.  Otero also studied abroad at the University of Oxford. 
 



Laura ErdmanLaura E. Erdman recently completed her second year at Washington and Lee University School of Law. She received her B.A. from the University of Maryland and her M.P.A. from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Prior to entering law school, Erdman worked as development associate for a large community health center and as a grants coordinator for the United States Golf Association.
 

Clifford LauchlanClifford W. Lauchlan recently completed his second year at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he is an articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review.  He received his B.A. from Taylor University College in Edmonton, Alberta and his M.A. in english literature from the University of Dayton.  Prior to attending law school, Lauchlan worked both as a faculty member and as a student services professional at Sinclair Community College. 

Emily St. Cyr Emily E. St. Cyr recently completed her second year at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Miami University. During a semester at Miami, St. Cyr studied abroad in Luxembourg and visited fifteen countries throughout Europe. Last summer, she served as a fellow at The Ohio Innocence Project.


D. Justin GingerichD. Justin Gingerich recently completed his second year at Harvard Law School, where is an editor of the Harvard Business Law Journal. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Malone University. Last summer, Gingerich interned with the General Counsel’s Office of the African Development Bank in Tunis, Tunisia.

 

Nicholas HouseNicholas R. House recently completed his second year at William and Mary Law School, where he is a member of the William and Mary Law Review. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan. Last summer, House was a legal intern for Western Reserve Land Conservancy in Chesterland, Ohio.

 

Shannon Majoras Shannon C. Majoras recently completed her second year at the University of Virginia School of Law, where she is an editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law.  She received her B.A. from Rice University. Last summer, Majoras worked as a research assistant for Professor Margaret Riley, focusing on health industry issues.  

 

Casey DavisCasey J. Davis recently completed his second year at the University of Akron School of Law, where he is the editor-in-chief of the Akron Law Review and vice magister of Phi Delta Phi.  He received his B.S.B.A. with high distinction from Ohio Northern University.  Davis also studied abroad at the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Last fall, he was an extern for the Honorable Deborah L. Cook of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
