Vorys Partners Mark Knueve and Daren Garcia were included in a Labor and Employment Law360 story titled “Abercrombie Fights Saleswoman's Seating Demands.” The story outlines recent arguments made before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Amber Echavez v. Abercrombie and Fitch Co and mentions Knueve and Garcia as attorneys for Abercrombie.
The story states:
“Abercrombie and Fitch Co. Inc. asked a California federal judge on Monday to throw out a proposed class action filed by an employee who claims she wasn't able to sit on the job, with the retailer alleging it was not obligated to provide seating. The retailer lodged a motion to dismiss a complaint brought by Amber Echavez, who accused Abercrombie of violating California law by not making the use of a seat available to her during her shifts as a sales employee and sought civil penalties for herself and other employees.”
