Farrar Named to Smith College Alumnae Association Committee

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is proud to announce that Elizabeth (“Betsy”) Farrar, a partner in the firm’s Columbus office, has been named to the Classes Committee for the Alumnae Association of Smith College.

Elizabeth (“Betsy”) FarrarAs a member of the Classes Committee, Farrar will serve as a liaison between the Alumnae Association and class officers representing the Classes of 1970 through 1979. In this capacity, she will help classmates stay connected between reunions, field questions from class officers and assist the Alumnae Association in determining how to support class officers.  She is an active alumna, serving as team coordinator for her class fundraising efforts, the chair of the annual Columbus alumnae fundraiser and the former chair of the Smith College Club of Columbus.

Farrar is a member of the Vorys corporate and finance group.  Her practice focuses primarily on the representation of public companies and financial institutions, which she regularly counsels on a broad range of matters involving corporate governance, securities law compliance and reporting issues, federal banking law compliance, public offerings of debt and equity securities and merger and acquisition transactions involving both stock and assets.  She works regularly with clients who are subject to regulatory frameworks provided by the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE Amex, The NASDAQ Stock Market, various federal banking regulators and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Farrar received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and her B.A. magna cum laude from Smith College, where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
