Miller Quoted in Columbus Business First Story Titled “Lifestyle Communities Sues Worthington Over Stalled United Methodist Children's Home Project”

Joe Miller, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and chair of the firm’s litigation group, was quoted in a Columbus Business First story regarding the redevelopment of a United Methodist Children's Home property in Worthington, Ohio.  Lifestyle Communities, the owner of the property, recently filed a suit against the city because of its efforts to halt development on the site.

The story states:

“‘The city of Worthington should have partnered with Lifestyle Communities on development of its property, not closed its doors, put up exclusionary barriers and expose the community to massive liability,’ said Lifestyle’s attorney, Joseph Miller of Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease. ‘Unlike any other city that would welcome $200 million in new high-quality development, city officials have instead acted unlawfully to stop any development at this property, seemingly at any cost.’”
