Falk to Become Leader of Vorys Cleveland Office

Vorys announced today that Bryan Falk will assume the role of managing partner of the firm’s Cleveland office on April 1, 2022.  Tony O’Malley, the office’s current managing partner, will maintain his legal practice and his other firm leadership roles, including serving as a member of the firm’s Management and Strategic Operations Committees.

“This year, the Vorys’ Cleveland office celebrates its 40th year of operation,” O’Malley said. “Our focus is, and always has been, helping our clients solve their legal issues.  To do that, the Vorys team can never stand still.  Rather, it must grow and evolve.  As we implement the next phase of our succession plan in Cleveland, I’m excited that Bryan will take the lead.”

Falk will become only the third managing partner of the Cleveland office since its opening in 1982.  He will continue his role as the co-chair of the firm’s national finance practice. In his day-to-day legal work, Falk helps northeast Ohio-based businesses with their corporate, finance and real estate needs.  As such, he is the defacto outside general counsel for several privately held, middle-market companies.  Falk also regularly represents lenders and real estate developers in all manners of sophisticated transactions.  His team approach has earned him a reputation as an effective and efficient project manager and problem solver.

“I am grateful for the work that Tony has done leading the office over the past 17 years. He has been a phenomenal community leader and trusted mentor to many, myself included,” Falk said.  “Tony and I have worked closely during this transition, which started in 2020.  I am confident that with our strong team and the firm’s unwavering client-centric focus, we will continue to serve our northeast Ohio clients extremely well.”

The Vorys Cleveland office, located on Public Square, includes nearly 40 professionals who are skilled in corporate law, commercial finance, real estate, commercial and corporate litigation, labor and employment, bankruptcy/creditor rights, intellectual property, arbitration and mediation.
