Carman Invited to Serve on iCourt Remote Technology Task Force Subcommitte

Corrine Carman has been invited to serve on a subcommittee of the iCourt Remote Technology Task Force created by Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor.

The task force has been created to study the use of these technologies in current- and post-post pandemic circumstances. Carman joins as a member of the Civil Jury Trials, Civil and Domestic Relations Subcommittee. The committee will report to the 25 task force voting members appointed by Chief Justice O’Connor to determine how best to improve state wide court operations using remote technology. The task force has been designed to examine how Ohio courts have used technology during the pandemic, identify best practices and identify rules that may need to be updated or modernized. Findings and recommendations by the task force will be presented to the Ohio Supreme Court by June 2021.

Carman is a senior attorney in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the labor and employment group.  In her practice, she represents Fortune 500 companies in employment-related litigation, including workers' compensation, wrongful termination, and intentional tort actions. She has been a frequent speaker at seminars related to Ohio workers' compensation and the interplay between compensation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family Medical Leave Act. Carman received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and her J.D. from Capital University Law School.
