Vorys Earns Perfect Score, Named a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” in the Human Rights Campaign’s 2020 Corporate Equality Index

Vorys has been recognized as one of the top gay-friendly workplaces in central Ohio for the twelfth year in a row by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). For the third year in a row, the firm received an equality score of 100 (out of a possible 100). This year, Vorys was also named a 2020 “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by HRC.

The firm earned this score and accolade for having non-discrimination policies, a firm-wide diversity group, and for supporting the LGBT community, among other criteria.  Only nine central Ohio-based businesses received perfect scores.

In addition, the firm was one of only five Ohio-based law firms to achieve a perfect score in the rankings.

Each year, HRC releases the Corporate Equality Index report (CEI).  The 2020 CEI rated 1,059 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
