Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is pleased to announce that Jolie Havens, the firm’s first-ever Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer (CDIO), was selected from 14 finalists nationally as the winner of the Chambers 2019 “Outstanding Contribution to Furthering the Advancement of Diversity in the Legal Profession” Award. According the Chambers and Partners, the award honors “a partner that has shown an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.”

Under Havens’ leadership, Vorys has made meaningful progress on diversity and inclusion through consistent, sustained efforts designed to promote equity for everyone in the Vorys family. Vorys has also celebrated many important firsts under Havens’ leadership, including her work planning and hosting the firm’s first Diversity & Inclusion Summit, releasing the firm’s first Diversity & Inclusion Report, and leading the firm’s inaugural participation in Columbus Pride. Havens frequently speaks, both locally and nationally, on matters related to diversity and inclusion.
