Vorys Welcomes 2019 Summer Associate Class

Vorys is pleased to welcome 17 summer associates to four of its offices. Muna Abdallah, Johnathan Drake, DyTiesha Dunson, Alex Ehler, Joe Jakubowski, John Osinski, Emily Peterson and Beth Seedorf will work in the Columbus office; Theron Anderson, Brandon Gilbert, Marcus Hughes, Dan Shinkle and Michael Soder will work in the Cincinnati office; Khouloude Abboud, Nicole Bhangdia and Matt Fazekas will work in the Cleveland office; and Lori Lang will work in the Houston office. 

COLUMBUS:

Muna Abdallah is a student at Vanderbilt University Law School and president of the International Law Society. She received her B.S.B.A. from The Ohio State University. Her legal experience includes working as a legal intern at the Metropolitan Government of Nashville Department of Law.



Jonathan Drake just completed his first year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Marshall University. His legal experience includes serving as a legislative intern to Judith A. Herndon at the West Virginia State Capitol.


DyTiesha Dunson is a student at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and staff editor of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. She received her B.A. cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University. Her legal experience includes working as a legal extern for the Ohio Public Defender’s Office. Dunson was also a Vorys summer associate in 2018.

Alex Ehler is a student at the University of Notre Dame Law School and an articles editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. He received his B.A. cum laude from the University of Notre Dame. His legal experience includes working as a judicial extern for the Honorable Algenon L. Marbley in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Joe Jakubowski is a student at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and staff editor of the I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. He received his B.S. from Bowling Green State University. His legal experience includes serving as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

John Osinski is a student at The Ohio State University and business editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. He received his B.S. magna cum laude from The Ohio State University.



Emily Peterson is a student at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and associate editor of Case Western Law Review. She received her B.S. cum laude from Ohio University. Her legal experience includes serving as a legal extern for the Honorable Chief Judge Edmund A. Sargus Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Beth Seedorf is a student at the University of Toledo and managing editor of the University of Toledo Law Review. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from The Ohio State University.




CINCINNATI:

Theron Anderson just completed his first year at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He received his B.S.B.A. from the University of Louisville.




Brandon Gilbert is a student at Vanderbilt Law School and a 2L Representative for the Vanderbilt Bar Association. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Auburn University. His legal experience includes working as a legal intern for the Legal Representative of Victims at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.


Marcus Hughes just completed his first year at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He received his B.A. from Georgetown University.




Dan Shinkle is a student at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and an associate member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. He received his B.S. summa cum laude from The Ohio State University. His legal experience includes working as a law clerk for GE Aviation.


Michael Soder is a student at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and an associate member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Transylvania University. His legal experience includes serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael R. Barrett in the District Court Judge for the Southern District of Ohio.


CLEVELAND:

Khouloude Abboud is a student at Case Western University School of Law and copy editor of the Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine. She received her B.S. cum laude from Tulane University. Abboud has spent time shadowing medical professionals and helping facilitate recreational therapy for patients in the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Rehabilitation Center. She was also a Vorys summer associate in 2018.

Nicole Bhangdia just completed her first year at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She received her B.A. from Gettysburg College. Her legal experience includes working as a legal extern for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.




Matt Fazekas is a student at Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from West Virginia University. His legal experience includes working as a legal extern to the Honorable Melody Stewart in the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District.



HOUSTON:

Lori Lang is a student at the University of Houston Law Center and executive editor of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal. She received her B.A. from the University of Alabama. Her legal experience includes serving as a law clerk with the Hurricane Harvey Project and Housing, Employment, Accessibility, Transportation Team for Disability Rights Texas.
