Kelly Bissinger is a member of the finance, energy and real estate group in the Washington, D.C. office. Her practice is focused on real estate and tax matters. Kelly represents clients from all perspectives of the acquisition, financing, ownership, development and sale of office buildings, apartment projects, mixed-use and other commercial properties. In particular, she has experience representing both institutional and developer clients in connection with structuring and negotiating real estate joint ventures with an emphasis on the tax planning aspects of such transactions. In addition, Kelly has extensive experience advising developers, syndicators and investors on low-income housing, historic, new market and energy tax credits matters, including legislative and regulatory developments, originations, secondary market acquisitions and dispositions, end of compliance period planning and workouts.
Joseph Brunner is a member of the litigation group in the Cincinnati office. He has successfully represented large corporations, small businesses, and individuals in a wide variety of cases in both federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels. His practice consists primarily of complex civil litigation, including specific experience with cases involving the False Claims Act, the AntiKickback Statute and Stark Law, insurance disputes, consumer class actions, corporate and government investigations, trade secret and intellectual property disputes, noncompete provisions, and general breach of contract, fraud, and business torts. In addition, Joe has experience with white collar criminal defense work.
Laura Geyer is a member of the IP/IT group in the Washington, D.C. office. She counsels clients on a variety of aspects of intellectual property law including trademark, copyright, and internet law issues; IP issues related to social media and licensing and due diligence for IP transactions and disputes. During her 20-year career in IP law, Laura has worked on a broad variety of issues including: trademark prosecution from clearance to registration; trademark infringement and conflict resolution (from demand letter to inter partespractice before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board); as well as international trademark disputes. In addition, she has counseled clients on internet and domain disputes and has filed and managed domain disputes in both national and international forums.
David Hine is a member of the litigation group in the Cincinnati office. His practice is focused on civil litigation and encompasses complex commercial, insurance, intellectual property, and government procurement cases. David also has significant experience in cases brought under the False Claims Act by the government or whistleblowers. He has represented large corporations, small businesses and individuals in both state and federal courts across the country.
Jacinto A. Núñez is a member of the finance, energy and real estate group in the Akron office. He advises clients on many aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquiring and selling real estate; ground, retail, industrial and office leasing; development; financing; oil and gas leasing and title; and other real estate matters. In addition to his general real estate practice, Jacinto is actively involved in the firm's economic incentives practice, representing developers, operating business and political subdivisions in economic development matters. He has a wealth of experience assisting businesses in securing local and state economic development incentives to support expansion and new construction projects.
Dan Shuey is a member of the litigation group in the Columbus office. He is experienced in appellate, eminent domain, real property, commercial, oil and gas and False Claims Act litigation. In his practice, he has successfully presented oral argument in Ohio appellate courts and drafted dozens of party and amicus briefs in Federal and Ohio appellate courts. In addition, Dan has litigated original actions and certified questions of state law in the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Keith Zabela is a member of the finance, energy and real estate group in the Pittsburgh office. His practice is focused on oil and gas titles, operational issues, and transactional matters. Keith advises clients on due diligence, leasing, acquisitions and divestitures, operating agreements, joint development agreements, purchase of sale agreements, royalty issues, curative matters and all other facets of day-today operations. He has represented large title insurance companies in the resolution of title claims involving lien priority, estate, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other title issues. Keith has also represented individuals and corporate clients in the areas of real estate, business, contracts, estate, family, landlord-tenant and trademark law.
