Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP announced today that Jeffrey Fickes, a corporate attorney with decades of experience in business, has joined the firm as a partner in the Cleveland and Akron offices.

“Jeff’s wealth of experience assisting companies with a wide array of legal needs will strengthen our firm’s corporate practice,” said Tony O’Malley, managing partner of the Vorys Cleveland office. “He is an asset to our business clients, who rely on Vorys to provide trusted counsel in today’s complex business and legal environment and we’re eager to welcome Jeff to the firm.”

Fickes focuses his practice on private companies, advising company owners, boards, and senior executives on organization, finance, governance, acquisition and disposition of businesses, as well as general business and contract matters.  In addition, Fickes works with companies that do not have a dedicated in-house counsel or legal team by serving as the company’s general counsel.

“Vorys is a preeminent business law firm with a highly respected corporate practice in Ohio and throughout the Midwest,” said Fickes.  “I’m looking forward to joining the team and working with practices throughout the firm to help our clients solve their complex business issues.”
