Tom McDonald, a former U.S. ambassador to Zimbabwe, partner in the Vorys Washington, D.C. office and leader the firm’s administrative and regulatory law, and governmental policy practice, introduced U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and Minister of the Economy of Morocco Mohamed Benchaaboun at a Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) event on September 23. Following Tom’s introduction and remarks from the two government leaders, a group panelists, including corporate leaders from UPS and Visa, Inc., discussed key economic recovery strategies in northern Africa and highlighted opportunities for investment and business partnerships including programs and initiatives of various U.S government agencies.

This event was a part of a series of sessions, hosted by CCA, featuring senior U.S. and African government officials and private sector executives that took place in September during the meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York.
