Reisz Included in Business First's "20 People to Know in Technology"
Lisa Pierce Reisz, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office, was featured in Columbus Business First’s “20 People to Know in Technology.” According to Business First, the individuals included on the list are “front and center in their industries.” Reisz was selected because she counsels clients on health care IT and health care privacy and security including HIPAA/HITECH, breach notification and state privacy laws.
An interview with Reisz was published and included the following question:
Why did you get into this profession?
“I became a health information technology (HIT) lawyer because it is a fascinating, cutting-edge, challenging legal specialty in which I get the opportunity to analyze and solve our clients’ complex legal issues and help them navigate the ever-changing landscape of the health-care field. It is an exciting time to be a part of this field. HIT will be instrumental in improving the quality and increasing the efficiency and affordability of our country’s health-care delivery system. It can prevent medical errors, reduce health-care costs, increase administrative efficiencies and decrease the use of paper. HIT law is cutting-edge. Every day it develops, changes and evolves as it tries to keep pace with the many new developments in the HIT field.”
