Maureen is an associate in the Vorys Pittsburgh office and a member of the technology and intellectual property group. She focuses her practice on brand protection, Vorys eControl, and internet defamation. She handles matters related to product diversion, trademark infringement, internet traffic diversion, and online reputation attacks. Maureen has additional experience preparing and monitoring trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, managing trademark portfolios and drafting contracts in a variety of legal matters including transfers of property, trademark coexistence and licensing agreements.
Maureen has experience working in Copenhagen dealing with international brand enforcement throughout the EU and Scandinavia specifically, and handled trademark registration and protection before the EUIPO. She also has a background in EU law and data protection.
Maureen is fluent in Danish and Russian, and spent two years teaching English as a second language in Moscow, Russia prior to attending law school.
Maureen received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, where she was a member of the International Law Society. She received her B.A. from The Colorado College.
