2009 Annual Ohio Tax Course

Vorys state and local tax accountant David Goodbar and Vorys attorneys Jesse Cook-Dubin and Tony Ehler presented at the 2009 Annual Ohio Tax Course on August 13-14 in Granville, Ohio. 

Mr. Goodbar spoke on ‘Sales & Use Tax Audit Procedures, Challenges and Tips’.  His presentation covered:

• Tax refunds within the audit
• Suggestions on best practices for audit preparation and planning
• Participatory and managed audits
• Overview of Department expectations and procedures

Mr. Cook-Dubin presented ‘State & Local Tax Issues in Bankruptcy’.  In his presentation he discussed bankruptcy and bankruptcy rights for debtors and creditors and a collection and discharge of local and state taxes in bankruptcy.

Mr. Ehler participated in a panel discussion on sales and use tax issues.
