Jake is an associate in the Vorys Akron office and member of the intellectual property (IP) group. He focuses his practice on developing and implementing IP strategies for clients. His experience includes the preparation of non-provisional, provisional, and PCT patent applications for a variety of fields. In addition, Jake has extensive experience successfully prosecuting U.S. patent applications, including the preparation of: USPTO office action replies, continuation applications and appeals.
Jake has assisted clients from a number of industries and technical fields including: machine learning, artificial intelligence models, virtual reality, augmented reality, quantum computing, semiconductor devices, polymer chemistry and medical devices.
Jake received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law with a concentration in IP law, where he was a member of the IP Venture Clinic. He received his B.A. in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University.
