We have an active and broad insurance litigation practice.  Our trial lawyers have represented our clients in insurance-related disputes in state and federal trial and appellate courts across the country as well as in arbitrations, mediations, and other alternative dispute venues.  Our clients include corporate, non-profit and individual policy holders, as well as insurers, excess insurers, reinsurers, and their employees and agents, in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

Our engagements in this area run the gamut from individual lawsuits to sprawling class actions.  Moreover, those disputes involve a wide range of first-party and third-party insurance policies, including general liability (CGL), employment practices (EPL), environmental, directors and officers (D&O), professional liability, property insurance, and life insurance policies and annuities.  We also represent clients with respect to other kinds of insurance policies, including intellectual property and technology policies, municipal liability policies, and policies for title insurers.  In addition, we have represented clients in cases challenging the actions of insurance companies and their employees and agents

In addition to trial work, our lawyers regularly counsel our clients on a panoply of insurance-related issues, including insurance policy interpretation, application of insurance statutes, agent/broker issues, and insurer bad faith claims.  Our attorneys also have spoken and written extensively about insurance-related topics and have produced articles published in a variety of professional and academic journals.
