We have an extensive foreclosure practice that represents the interests of our clients throughout the state of Ohio. Our residential foreclosure practice includes the foreclosure of conventional, FHA, and HUD mortgages.  Because we handle many such matters, we have developed a special department, staffed by experienced real estate paralegals and clerks working under the supervision of our attorneys, that allows us to provide highly efficient and cost-effective representation for our clients on a wide range of foreclosure matters.

In addition, we offer our clients significant experience in even the most complicated foreclosure, restructuring, and workout matters involving commercial properties. Our attorneys have spearheaded foreclosures, restructurings, and workouts of mortgages for office buildings, motels, restaurants, health and recreation facilities, farms, multiple unit apartment buildings, large apartment complexes, manufacturing facilities, and other commercial properties.  Our work in this area has included the appointment of receivers and the facilitation of the transfer of operations and management after sale.  For example, we recently handled the foreclosure of a large manufacturing plant in northeastern Ohio, where we not only instituted standard mortgage foreclosure proceedings but also foreclosed security interests in equipment and machinery and jointly sold the assets. In another recent matter, our lawyers coordinated the attachment of assets and closing of a grain elevator, which required obtaining specific court authority to maintain operations pending sale of the grain and the underlying real property.
