Gina R. Russo
Ms. Russo is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation practice group. Her practice is broad in scope, with a general emphasis on workers' compensation and other employment-related issues. Her practice also includes the defense and prosecution of breaches of contract claims, the enforcement and defense of employment contracts containing non-competition clauses, mass tort litigation, professional malpractice, construction law, product liability issues and quiet title actions. Ms. Russo has represented clients before various administrative agencies, including the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio, and in both state and federal courts throughout Ohio.
Her notable experience includes:
- Defending the interests of large and small companies in workers' compensation claims
- Successfully obtaining injunctions to enjoin unfair competition in the employment setting
- Defending professional malpractice actions
- Defending engineering firms in negligent design and professional liability cases
- Defending multiple manufacturers in product liability actions
Ms. Russo is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
Ms. Russo received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Barristers. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Bowling Green State University where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
While in law school, Ms. Russo was a first-year finalist in the George K. Walker Moot Court Competition, a member of the International Moot Court Team, and a member of the National Moot Court Team Region IV finalists.
