Jacob D. Mahle
Mr. Mahle is an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the litigation group. Mr. Mahle practices civil litigation and has represented parties in contractual disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and foreclosure actions. Mr. Mahle has particular experience defending corporations in False Claims Act cases involving contracts with the Department of Defense.
His notable experience includes:
- Briefing appeals before the Ohio Supreme Court and Ohio Courts of Appeals
- Obtaining summary judgment on all claims in UCC goods dispute
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of outside directors against claims for breach of fiduciary duty
- Part of trial team that obtained verdict in excess of $1 million at bench trial in contract dispute
Mr. Mahle is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.
Mr. Mahle received his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, as well as an associate member and the Articles Editor the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Mr. Mahle received his B.A. summa cum laude from Xavier University.
