Vorys Welcomes Summer Associates

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease is pleased to welcome nine summer associates to four of its offices. Jesse Meade, Patrick Schlembach, Sarah Spector and Melissa Santiago joined the Columbus Office; Wesley Abrams, Lauren Sanders and Daniel Stroh joined the Cincinnati Office; Patrick Akers and Karey Werner joined the Cleveland Office; and Anne McPherson joined the Washington, D.C. Office.

Columbus

Jesse MeadeJesse Meade recently completed his second year at Vanderbilt University Law School. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Mount Union, where he was a commenter for Mount Union Football team. Meade worked as a policy and legal intern for The Alliance for a Just Society in Seattle, Washington.

Patrick SchlembachPatrick Schlembach recently completed his second year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he is the president of the Labor and Employment Law Association. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Xavier University. This past summer, Schlembach worked as a summer associate at a law firm. 

Sarah SpectorSarah Spector recently completed her second year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she is a staff editor for the Ohio State Law Journal. She received her B.A. magna cum laude in international studies and Spanish. This past summer, Spector worked as law clerk for Judge Michael H. Watson in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Melissa SantiagoMelissa Santiago recently completed her first year at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to law school, Santiago worked as a paralegal for three years.


Cincinnati

Wesley AbramsWesley Abrams recently completed his second year at Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law, where he is an associate editor for the Northern Kentucky Law Review. He received his B.S. summa cum laude from the University of Louisville. This past summer, he worked as a law clerk for a law firm in Kentucky.

Lauren SandersLauren Sanders recently completed her second year at Duke University School of Law. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Duke University. This past summer, Sanders was a judicial intern for the Honorable Fred Stine of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Campbell County Circuit Court.

Daniel StrohDaniel Stroh recently completed his second year at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he is an associate member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. He received his B.A. from DePauw University. This past summer, he worked as a judicial extern for Magistrate Michael Newman at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.


Cleveland

Patrick AkersPatrick Akers recently completed his second year at the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he is a staff member of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. He received his Masters in Business Administration from Auburn University and his B.A. from the University of Iowa. Prior to law school, Akers was a member of the United States Air Force where he was a military advisor for the Telecommunications Advisory Team.

Karey Werner Karey Werner recently completed her second year at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she an associate editor for the Case Western Reserve Law Review. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Kent State University. This past summer, she worked as an extern for the U.S. District for the Northern District of Ohio.


Washington, D.C.

Anne McPhersonAnne McPherson recently completed her second year at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she is a staff writer for the Journal of Energy, Climate and Environment. She received her B.A. from Davidson College. This past summer, she worked as a law clerk and project assistant in the Vorys Washington D.C. office.
