Texas Lawyer Story Titled “Nine Lawyers to Move From Schwartz Junell to Vorys” Highlights Vorys Continued Growth in Houston

A Texas Lawyer story titled “Nine Lawyers to Move From Schwartz Junell to Vorys” focused on the growth in the Vorys Houston office.  The story highlighted the firm’s recent announcement that nine trial lawyers, with diverse civil litigation backgrounds, will join the firm on January 5.

The story states:

“Schwartz said the move to Vorys is client-driven.

‘Our big clients are looking for bigger firms that can handle all of their business,’ he said.

Schwartz said the lawyers in his group also really like the Vorys lawyers, noting that the late Houston litigator Joe H. Reynolds, who practiced at the firm before his death in 2009, ‘always said, like the people you work with first, and everything else falls into place.’

Steve Browning, the managing partner of the Vorys Houston office, said the firm contacted Schwartz early this year, and ‘actually and quickly recognized some commonalities both in terms of our firm cultures and the way we like to serve clients.’

He said Vorys, which currently has 14 lawyers in the Houston office, has been interested in growing in Houston for a while.

Browning said Schwartz and the others from Schwartz Junell bring a broad expertise in commercial and energy litigation to the office.”
