Smith Included on Columbus Business First’s “20 People to Know in Manufacturing” List

Andrew Smith, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and chair of the labor and employment group, was included on Columbus Business First’s “20 People to Know in Manufacturing” list. According to the paper, individuals on the list “are front and center in their industries.” Smith was selected for his work with Ohio-based manufacturers.

An interview with Smith was published and included the following question:

What has been the biggest surprise to happen to you in your manufacturing career?

“There has been a shift in the relationships between management and the workforce.  When I was growing up, there was a mistrust between workers and management.  That is no longer the case.  There is real collaboration today between workers and management.  Together, they share the goal of creating good jobs and ensuring manufacturers can successfully compete in the global marketplace."
